Symposium for Maritime
 Amateur Radio Techs - 2018

Planning is underway for the 2018 version of SMART tentatively scheduled for April 28.

We request your members be referred to the SMART website which has an information form soliciting suggestions.

We had a good time at Greenwood last Saturday, in the photo above you can see the Club table with Martin VE1AUZ, Peter VE1BZI, Al  VE1CYP and Bob VE1ARN from left to right busily setting up for the day.

The Greenwood Flea Market for 2017 will take place on 

Saturday, October 21st.
The Club will have a table so if you have any gear to sell or donate, bring it along!

Did you get a chance to do any operating during this year's Field Day?

The event ran for 24 hours this past weekend and I found conditions to be challenging. 

I was able to work about 45 stations on 20 and 40 meters using only PSK-31 but most were in the northeast US , Ontario and Quebec, no rare DX!

THE YARMOUTH AMATEUR RADIO CLUB WILL ONCE AGAIN SPONSOR THE ANNUAL WHITE CANE CONTEST WHICH WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY FEBRUARY 5^th, 2017 ON THE 80 METER BAND USING LOWER SIDEBAND FROM 7:30 UNTIL 9:30 AM AND FROM 3:00 UNTIL 6:00 PM ATLANTIC STANDARD TIME.
